Venison Mexican Pizza
Ingredients:
1 pound Venison Burger 1 Onion 1 pack of small Tortilla shells 1 (16 ounce) can Refried Beans 1 (16 ounce) can of Red Enchilada Sauce |
1 (6 ounce) can of Tomato Paste
1 packet Taco Seasoning (or click here to make your own) 1 package of shredded Cheese Toppings of your liking |
Directions:
Let’s start browning your ground venison in a pan. You can add your onions to cook with the venison, or be fancy and caramelize them separately and combine them later. While those are cooking, warm your refried beans up. Mix your Red Enchilada Sauce with the Tomato Paste and warm those up. Once the meat has browned, add your taco season per the instructions. While that is simmering let’s brown or toast up the tortilla shell to your liking.
To assemble, let start with a crispy tortilla shell, layer on the refried beans, then a layer of taco meat. You can add any other toppings like lettuce, tomatoes, sour cream, or anything else now. Top that with another crispy tortilla shell, then spoon the Enchilada mixture over, and top with cheese. I pop that into the oven to melt the cheese, and enjoy.
