I was born and raised in Texas, although I had a couple of quick stints in New Mexico and Arizona as a kid. I’m truly just a normal, city girl who became a little outdoorsy when I started hunting with my husband. Most importantly though, I’m a mom of two kids, wife, daughter, business owner and the friend who you’d meet for a glass of wine or beer on a warm summer day.
I didn’t grow up hunting and I definitely have never been a tomboy or outdoorsy girl. Although I lived on a couple of ranches as a young kid, I’ve been a city girl most of my life. Maybe those younger years are where the seeds were planted for my love of the outdoors.
I started hunting because I fell in love with a true outdoorsman. I learned very quickly that he was going to hunt with or without me, so I figured, if you can’t beat ‘em, you better join ‘em. And, while my hunting journey started because I wanted to connect with my husband, I ended up finding myself throughout the pursuit.
I’m a female hunter, conservationist, and enthusiast for all things outdoor. I hunt to conserve our land and animal populations put food on my family’s table. I spend time with my family outdoors and urge all women to get outside.
