My name is Christina and I am a 34 year old mom of two, wife, and boss for my own company. My husband and I recently purchased our dream home in south central Pa on just under 10 acres of land. I grew up in MD where my mom introduced me to camping. Now, it wasn't true camping per say as we camped at the local fairground during the fair as my mom had a booth there selling crafts. But to a child it was the most awesome thing in the world. I love hunting and fishing as well. I can remember questioning my dad when he would come home from pheasant hunts what the birds were and why he shot them. I also remember crying when he told me he hunted deer. (Hey, i was young and Bambi was my favorite movie, lol.) Years later my dad introduced me to hunting. We had moved to a farm and we needed rabbit control, which became one of my chores. So every night i sat and waited for bunny foo foo to hop into the garden to try and eat all the veggies we planted. After a couple years of standing guard over our garden, i asked about deer hunting. I really wanted to go. So, my dad put me into the local hunters safety course.

That year was my first year hunting, and I can remember the excitement of bagging my first deer. My dad and I were sitting in a stand when a group of 6 doe came to about 30 yards from us. My dad whispered to pick out one of the bigger does and aim, then breath in and slowing pull the trigger as i exhaled. The jolt from the rifle as i pulled the trigger knocked my hat (an Elmer Fudd hat lol) down over my face so i couldn't see my doe. As i ripped the hat off my head and asked my dad where my deer was, he replied with, "shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! I still need to shoot one". So i bit my lips in anticipation. He shot and then turned to me. I asked where my deer was. He pointed to where i shot. And there she lay, right where i shot her. A perfect heart shot. My dad to this day still grumbles as his doe ran about 50 yards and mine dropped. Oh and i picked the biggest doe of the herd lol. Now, as an adult, i am still working on collecting my first buck. I shot one last archery, but was never able to find it after 3 days of searching. Now with the new house and land, i have been keeping track of movement, feed routines, and learning the deer on our property.
There are two shooters on my list for this year. I hope they stick around. I also grew up fishing, ponds mostly and once i got older salt water when we would go on vacation. Personally i prefer salt water fishing but i don't mind fresh water from time to time. I really want to try fishing for Salmon one day. I also want to hunt elk. I am super excited to share my love for hunting, fishing, and camping with my children and make many more memories with them.

Hello, I’m Karley Davidson from North Carolina. Hunting, fishing and everything outdoors has always been a big part of my life. I spend almost every part of each day out in the woods hunting, checking cams, feeding, mineral sites, food plot management, wildlife management, property management, looking for new deer signs, fishing etc. I self film all my hunts/fishing trips with Tactacam and my Nikon where I also do a lot of high quality photography for my sponsors and partners. I now currently work for Tactacam in the customer service area. QDMA is so important to me and I have a passion for harvesting mature bucks and does and managing a healthy herd and bettering the wildlife in anyway I can. I am also a avid turkey hunter.

The 2018-2019 season was my best to date and I was able to get my biggest to date a 5.5 year old mature 9 point whitetail buck that scored in the 140’s and also won best female deer award. From March-April 2019 I was able to catch my 3 biggest bass to date one was 8.5, 8.9 and 9.1.

I love getting people involved in the outdoors especially our youth. I am the owner of "Davidson Outdoors" & "North Carolina Hunting" also have a group of 5k members for that page.

What better way to bring back this, than to feature our 2019 Girl of the year?
My parents laid the foundation for my interest in the outdoors by taking me along and starting me hunting and fishing as soon as I was big enough. I shot my first shotgun at 3 years old. In my teens I branched out on my own and started deer hunting. My husband Adam and I started dating after I called and asked him to call coyotes with me, and he has been my biggest supporter ever since. He pushes me to learn things on my own and doesn't offer me much help one on one, just advice usually. He has truly molded me that way into a really exceptional hunter. I'm a tag saver so I can hunt every single day. He asked me once if I was even seeing deer so I started picking tufts of hair out of deer walking by and giving them to him. He eventually said something like, "okay you're getting pretty good at this".

The outdoors has been a part of who I am for as long as I or anyone close to me can remember. Being driven is who I am and it shows in my passions towards all of my hunts and fishing adventures. I refuse to believe there are any limits to what I can learn to do. I hunted for the first time in the fall of 2016 with a spear and successfully took a whitetail doe with it. And took the second with a spear in the fall of 2017, followed by becoming the first woman in recorded history to take a bear with a spear in the spring of 2018. My husband is a great influence for me and encourages what he refers to as my crazy! He recently decided that if I wanted to up my auntie so much and make hunts harder that we should dove hunt with our bows. I’m pleased to say I connected with my first dove on the fly with my bow on the 6th shot. Pushing myself and sharing what I love with others is what I was born to do. It’s never truly been about just the taking of an animal for me, but the entire process, one I am passionate about sharing with others. I’ve been blessed to represent some wonderful companies that share my similar interests. I am NOT a professional at one single aspect of anything, but I am learning everyday and am highly proficient with many weapons and the means to use them. When the work is done my days are spent training, hunting, fishing, trapping and teaching like one should expect of a professional outdoors woman and a lifetime member of the NRA.
