What is that smell? It ain’t me!

What is that smell? It ain’t me!

So all of us have our own little ways of getting ready for the woods. From mapping out our plans in the field, to our own little secret rituals before we step out into the woods. One ritual I think we all have in common is our ways of masking our human scent.
I have heard different stories from people about how they do this. From digging a hole in the ground and burring their clothes, to leaving them outside all season. I’m not saying those methods don’t work, but I think most of us use scent control agents, that’s what I wanted to mention in this blog.
I have used a few of the scent controllers that are at my local Walmart, and I feel like they work but I’ve always felt a little skeptical about some of them. Well just recently I received a full field kit from Scent Kapture, and my whole outlook on scent control has changed.
Dustin from Headline Outdoors called it “Fabreez for men” and I’m going to agree. Not only did it preform great in the field it helped with everyday live things as well. Here are two examples.
I work in an aluminum tube and can printing factory. We have multiple chemicals and solvents we use that have a strong odor. One day I walked in to me house and was hit with the smell of those chemicals from my jacket. I saw my Scent Kapture setting on the table and hit my jacket with a few sprays.   In moments that strong overwhelming smell was gone.
On a recent hunting trip I took my daughter for her first turkey hunt. As we were heading down the road to where we were going to hunt we both could smell the cow manure on her boots from here F. F. A. animals. So when we stopped I hit her boots with a couple shots of Scent Kapture and even in the rubber boots the smell faded away.
Now I’m not saying the Scent Kapture is a cure all to smelly gear, but it does do a great job and reducing that human scent done to almost nothing when you are deep on a hunt. I have recommended it to all the hunters in my family and am now recommending it to all of you.
If you want a little more of an advantage out there, we should absolutely try Scent Kapture.

Talking with Todd from Scent Kapture, they have a customer that had a dog get sprayed by a skunk. Sprayed the dog down with their field spray, and the skunk spray was gone.
