Bird Therapy for the COVID19 sickness

As spring gobbler season creeps closer and closer to us here in Virginia, many of us are looking forward to getting out and trying out skills; and luck; at being able to add some fresh turkey meat to our freezers. During these times of fear due to COVID19, it might even be more important now then ever to us hunters to be out hoping for thunder chickens.
A lot of us are sitting in our homes and avoiding people outside of our immediate families. But when the opportunity comes to get out and hunt it will be even more therapeutic then usual, and for some they are hoping to maybe replenish any used supplies during these times.
Being able to get back to something we love to do will be a big moral booster for those of us locked away from our normal “day to day” lives. Being able to sit and enjoy natures wonder in the quiet of a new morning sure does sound pretty good to me.
This virus has caused fear and panic in many people, and the peacefulness of the woods just might do us all some good. Those of you that can get out to your hunting grounds are probably already feeding and replenishing minerals for food plots. Those of you that hunt on public lands may not have those types of things on our list of things to do before the season starts, but that doesn’t mean we can’t just get outside and and enjoy what we do have, instead of fearing for what this virus could take away.
So check your scopes, your peep sights, and make sure your fishing lines are not tied in knots. Check to make sure your gear is still in great shape at it was the last time you used it. Maybe you had some old things that needed replacing or some new gear you needed to add to your arsenals. Inventory your arrows, bolts, and broad heads. Get your weapons of choice out and make sure they are ready to help you restock those freezers.
