¾ cups Warm Water 1 package Active Dry Yeast 1 ¾ cups All Purpose Flour 1 tablespoon Olive Oil 1 teaspoon Salt 1 teaspoon Sugar 1 stick (8 tablespoons) Unsalted Butter 4 Cloves Garlic, minced ¼ cup Parsley, minced 1 teaspoon Salt
In a cup add the Water and Yeast, whisk with a fork to mix and let the Yeast froth up.In the bowl of your stand mixer add the Flour, Sugar, and 1 teaspoon of Salt. Whisk to mix the dry ingredients than add the Olive Oil and Yeast. Mix this on a low speed until a soft dough forms. Lightly coat with Olive Oil and shape into a ball. Leave the dough in the bowl to rise, it should double in size. Once the dough has doubled in size, flour a flat surface and cut the dough in half. Form a ball with each half, and cut in half again. Working with one ball at a time, cut into 4 pieces again. The cut edges will be sticky, so use the floured work surface and roll each piece into a snake. After rolling each snake about 5 to 7 inches long tie a knot. Set each knot on a baking sheet, and leave some space between each knot. Once all the knots are ties, lightly brush the tops with Olive Oil and let rise until doubled in size again. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees. Bake the knots for 12 to 15 minutes or until golden brown. Meanwhile, melt the Butter in a small pot. Add the Garlic and let it gently cook. Add the remaining Salt and Parsley and stir to combine. Remove from the heat and brush the Knots when done.
