Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Lightly grease an 8x4 inch loaf pan. In a bowl, mix the Butter and Sugar until smooth and creamy. Beat in the Eggs, one at a time. In a separate bowl, sift the Flour, Baking Soda, Salt, Cinnamon, and Cloves together. Mix into the Butter / Sugar mixture until Moistened. Fold in the Apples and transfer to the prepared loaf pan. Bake for one hour, or until a toothpick into the center pulls out clean. Allow it to cool for 15 minutes before removing from loaf pan.
